On Wednesday, May 24, 2017. Burdell Pittman met his Lord in Heaven and was reunited with his wife of 65 years, the late Russie Pittman.
Service: 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 30, 2016 at White’s Azle Chapel.
Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery.
Visitation: Tuesday, noon to service time at the funeral home.
Burdell was born to Wilburn and Edna Turner Pittman in Bangs on January 23, 1926. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. Through the years he had various trades, the lengthiest being father to the couples five children. His passions included auctioneering, RVing, farming livestock, festivals, country music, dancing, church, and sharing stories about his colorful life.
Burdell was preceded in death by his wife; parents; siblings, Buster, Chester, Fay Doris, Ila and Gorwin.
Survivors: Children, Patricia Kay Stone, Kenneth Pittman and wife, Diane, Melvin Pittman and wife, Barb, Vicki Parten and husband, the late Randy Parten; and Linda Richey; he was paw-paw to eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Pittman and wife, Betty.
