Harry “Leo” Rice Jr., also known as Sarge, 61, of Fort Worth, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Azle Church of Christ.
Visitation: 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Azle Church of Christ.
Leo was a life-long resident of Fort Worth. He was one of a kind. A loyal friend, fair, honest and loving man who would always have your back. He was a police officer with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years, retiring as a sergeant in the patrol division in 2006. Leo enjoyed going “fishing” at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma.
Leo was predeceased by his parents, Harry L. Rice, Sr. and Opal (Mason).
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jacqueline Sue (Nance): two sisters, Mary Ann (Richard) Fairl of Azle and Susan (Mike) Filiatraut of Saginaw, MI; step-brother, Tony (Sherry) Knox of Ft. Worth; three step children he considered his own, (Ret) SFC Gregory Linder, II, Audrey Weaver, and Lon L. White; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
