John Jason Sloan, 41, a dental lab technician, passed from this earthly life surrounded by his family who adored him, on Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Funeral service: 1 p.m. Thursday, August 10, at Ash Creek Baptist Church, 300 S. Stewart St., Azle, 76020, Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at White's Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Tr., Azle, 76020.

Jason was known for his gentleness, creativity and artistic ability, and his beautiful, passionate singing. Jason was a peacemaker with an outstanding sense of humor, a man's man, and a brother's brother. He loved family and faithfully stood with those he loved.
Jason's hobbies included good music, studying historical events, and martial arts.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Lonnie George and Polly and Oscar Sloan; beloved nephew, William Bradley Spruill; and his baby daughter, Ileana.
Survivors: son, Emmanuel Elijah Sloan; wife, Gertrude Arthur Sloan; parents, Bobby and Patti Sloan; brothers, Chris (Cindy) Sloan and Micah (Ameena) Sloan; sisters, Stephani (Gary) Spruill and Jennifer McHugh; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
