Leonard "Junior" Adams Chapman, Jr., passed away August 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial Service: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Real Family Fellowship, 202 Pearson Lane, Azle, Texas.
Leonard was born September 22, 1944 in Fort Worth to Leonard and Lorene Chapman. He graduated high school in Stephenville and went on to serve his country in the Air Force, stationed at Carswell Air Force Base.
He worked for the City of Fort Worth as part of the Crash and Fire Rescue Team at Meacham Field and retired after 25 years of service. He then started a 12 year career with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department as a Detention Officer.
Leonard enjoyed fishing with his buddies and always found time to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bruce Chapman and Jimmy Chapman; and sister, Cleta Faye Williams.
Survivors: wife of 40 years, Pam Chapman; son, Scott Bayless and wife, Angela; daughter, Amy Owens and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Ryan Brenz and wife, Rachel, Trenton Richardson and wife, Lauren, Shelby Owens and Brett Owens; great-grandchildren, Vincent Allyn Brenz and Tinlee May Richardson; sister, Ileta Moen and husband, Milo; brother, James Chapman and wife, Sharon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.
