Mamie L. Gunn, 75, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday at White’s Azle Chapel. Interment: 10:15 A.M. Tuesday at DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at White’s Azle Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mamie’s name to the First Baptist Church of Castle Hills or the Humane Society. Mamie was born January 15, 1942 in Atlee, Oklahoma to Albert and Ida Mae Evans Richardson. She loved gardening and working in her yard, designing and making yard art, and was an avid animal lover. Mamie also enjoyed traveling and most of all spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. Mamie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Castle Hills. She was preceded in death by her parents; and stepson, Randy Gunn. Survivors: Loving husband of almost 55 years, Robert Gunn; daughters, Cindy Rose and husband, Wesley, Melissa Hays and husband, Brad; brothers, Marion Richardson, Leon Richardson; sisters, Jenalu Roberts, Patsy Gilley; step-daughter, Enola Heard; grandchildren, David Admire, Jeffrey Admire, Lauren Garrison, Jordan Taylor, Alexis Abbott, Mason Hays, Chris Freeman and Lacey Freeman; and nine great-grandchildren.
