Adelaide "Addie" Frances Beeman

Adelaide “Addie” Frances Beeman, 99, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020. Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Ash Creek Baptist Church, Azle 76020. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 1:00 P.M. to service time Monday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Azle Cemetery Association. Addie was born August 2, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas to Samuel Cade and Frances Eugenia Justus New. She moved with her family to Ft. Worth after he death of her father in 1921. She and her brothers lived and attended the Masonic Home and School of Texas in Ft. Worth. After graduation she worked as a clerk in Ft. Worth. She married Jesse Ray Beeman in 1947 and they moved to Azle in 1952 where she was the principal’s secretary at Azle High School for 30 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Ray Beeman; her daughter, Sharon Townsend Young and son-in-law, William Lee Young; brothers and their wives, William Leroy New (Dorothy), Samuel Douglas New (Willine), and Justus Kinnion “Pete” New (Chris). She is survived by grandchildren, Melinda Frances Young Maynard (Patton), Michael Lee Young (Angie); great-grandchildren, Megan Frances Maynard, Patton Edward Maynard Jr., and Mason Lee Young, along with several nieces and nephews. Addie will be missed by her family and friends, she was like a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life.
