Angel Chavez Valtierra, 87, beloved brother, uncle and dear friend, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Aledo. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Weatherford. Interment: Millsap Cemetery. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in White’s Chapel of Memories, Weatherford. Angel was born October 1, 1934 in Millsap, son of Tirzo Valtierra and Maria Chavez. He was a devout Catholic who always gave to those in need. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Angel worked for General Dynamics for over 38 years, working his way up to a machinist. Angel rooted for the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns; and he loved his escape-artist dog, Euless. Angel is survived by his brother, Lupe Valtierra and his wife, Ruth; sisters, Sister Adelaide, Petra Cantu, and Julia Willingham; and several nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly. He will join his brothers, Jesse, Catarino ‘Bill’, his sister, San Juana ‘Juanita’ in heaven. Uncle Angel will be missed, so much, by so many.
