Bernice Helen Norton

Bernice Helen Norton, lost her battle with cancer the morning of September 26th, 2017. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her children.Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, 1301 Lincoln Ave. South, Owatonna, MN  55060.  Memorial Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086. Bernice was born February 17, 1953 in Kenyon, MN, the daughter of William and Martha (Ehrich) Schmoll.  Bernice graduated from Dodge Center.  Bernice had three children, Brian, Kristy and Koryn. For the past 15 years Bernice worked as a residential real estate appraiser.She enjoyed quilting, crafts, playing cards, and listening to her wind chimes sing. Bernice loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow to be young adults.She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Schmoll; brothers, Roy Schmoll, Philip Schmoll; sisters, Norma Laue, Harriet Kessler, Cindy Schmoll; brother-in-law, Larry Laue. Survivors: son, Brian (Libby) Norton of Westminster, CO; daughters, Kristina (Jason) Case of Peaster, TX, Koryn Norton of Weatherford, TX;  grandchildren, Taylor Norton, Shalie Case, Tristan Case, Victoria Vaupel and Aubrey Case;  brothers, Clarence Schmoll of Houston, TX, Larry Schmoll of Sweat City, IA, David (Deb) Schmoll of Champlain, Dennis Schmoll of Owatonna,  and John Schmoll of Sebeka; sisters, Irene (Chuck) Thomas of Owatonna, Alice (Steve) Schwering of Lamberton, Katherine (Jeff) Jacobson of Owatonna, Ruth (Marv) Thompson of Owatonna, and Nancy Schmoll of Boise, ID; sister-in-law, Bonnie Schmoll of Shakopee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
