Betsy Janet Barnwell Ferguson left this world peacefully on Saturday, April 25,2020. Janet, as she was known to friends, and Granjan,as she was known to her children and grand children, was born April 12,1933 in Aledo, Texas to J.E. Barnwell and Pauline Sullivan Barnwell (Mama King). She was the beloved baby of the family with seven older siblings. She grew up on her family's farm in Aledo with her grandparents close by and always remembered her childhood (especially her grandfather John Wright Sullivan) with love and laughter. As a young wife she had the opportunity to live abroad in England and absolutely loved that experience and often wished she could have gone back for another visit. Janet loved working in her yard and had a sweet fondness for her gorgeous rose bushes. She enjoyed being a part of her grandchildren's lives and often babysat and went to various games and life events. Janet was an avid baseball fan and faithfully followed her adored Texas Rangers baseball team! Janet had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed not only at herself but at life in general. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She lovingly leaves behind her daughter, Diana Synatzske and husband, James; sons, Mark Ferguson and wife, Kelly and Tony Ferguson and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Ginger and Bonnie Ferguson, Angie and Logan Synatzske, Garrett, Josh and Blake Ferguson, Drew Paval, and Erin Vieck; numerous great grandchildren, all of whom will remember her with love. The Family would like express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at The Sunset Home in Clifton, Texas for their wonderful care of our Granjan.
