Billy Ray Anderson

Billy Ray Anderson, 88, left for heaven on Monday, September 14, 2020. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Cornerstone Community Church, 2233 East Highway 199, Springtown, 76082. Interment: Jaybird Cemetery, Reno. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Funeral Home, 401 North Main Street, Springtown. Billy was born on July 9, 1932 to Rosa Lee McFarland in Garner, and was adopted by Otto and Mamie Anderson of Fort Worth. He worked hard to provide lovingly for his family at Swift’s Meat Packing in the Stock Yards and retired after many years from the City of Azle Water Department. Billy married Bobbie Mae Henry on June 27, 1952, and they had 4 children: Linda (married to Lyndall Shields), Billy Don (married to Sherry), Jerry (married to Rebecca), and Michael. He loved God with all of his heart, mind and soul, and loved his wife, children and grandchildren with a passion. Billy is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie; his four children and their spouses; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
