Bobby Carroll Polston, 81, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 20,2020. Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Castle Hills Baptist Church in Azle, Tx. Bobby Carroll Polston was born on February 14, 1939 in Waco, TX to Elijah and Katie Polston. He spent his childhood growing up in the Waco, TX area. He married the love of his life, Florence Ann McConnaughey on December 14, 1963 and they were blessed with five children, Shirley, Eddie, Paula, Billy and Brenda. Florence preceded Bobby in death on November 27, 2017. Bobby could often be found in the “doghouse” playing pool or throwing darts and would commonly challenge you to a game. Other common past times include throwing horseshoes and washers in his back yard, not to mention he loved to work on things and always had a number of on-going projects. He was known to have a big heart and would always lend a helping hand to anyone who came across his path, literally anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters, brothers, and daughter (Anita Robertson). Survivors: Sons, Eddie Polston and wife, Michelle of Azle, Billy Polston and wife, Lorraine of Amarillo; daughters, Shirley Cooper of Azle, Paula Turner and husband, Rodney of Madison, AL, and Brenda Polston of Azle; twenty-one grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
