Bobbye Jo (Hott) Woody, 80, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in Weatherford.

Visitation: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church, Weatherford.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church, Weatherford.

Graveside Service: 2 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth.

Bobbye was born January 15, 1944 in Prairie Grove, daughter of Otis Hott and Dora (Morris) Hott. She met the love of her life James “Jim” Woody and they were married on June 3, 1967. They would go on to spend 57 happy years together.

Bobbye graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech. She would go on to attain her Med Tech certification from Memorial Hospital in Houston. Bobbye served at Scott & White in Temple, Red Cross in Waco, and Providence Hospital in Waco.

She will most be remembered as a strong woman of faith who loved to spend time talking with the Lord. Bobbye was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved her church family, especially her Sunday School Class.

Bobbye was an avid reader, who loved nature. She marveled at the beauty of God and loved to watch birds. Of all of her interests in life, her first love was her family. Her sons and grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to cook for them and host special occasions, and everyone was always welcome.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jim Woody; sons, Jonathan Woody and wife, Elizabeth, and Nathan Woody and wife, Emily; grandsons, Grant Cayton-Woody, Elijah Woody, and William Schlesinger; granddaughters, Natalie Woody, Nora Woody, Gretta Woody and Georgia Woody; sisters, Janie Humphries, and Janice Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
