Bonnie Lou Glissen

Bonnie Glissen, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on  Thursday, October 18, 2018. Memorial Service: 10 A.M. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Ash Creek Baptist Church, Azle, Texas.   Bonnie was born in 1937 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  She attended school there and in San Rafael, California. Bonnie lived most of her adult life in and around Aledo.  At different times of her life she enjoyed riding motorcycles, skiing, horses, bowling and dancing.  She raised gardens, cattle, horses and goats.  Bonnie loved to cook, bake and sharing her goods with others.   Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were bright stars in her life. Bonnie will be missed by all that knew her. Bonnie was preceeded in death by her husband, Don Glissen; parents, Jasper Underwood and Ada Underwood Lessley; and  brothers, Billy Bob, Jack, and Chester Underwood. Survivors:  Bonnie is survived by daughter, Vicki Lynn Johnston; son, Robert Lee Johnston and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Kaylee and Robert Johnston, Emily and Chad Tackett; great-grandchildren, Alex Tackett and Waylon Tennison; siblings, Carol Gordon and Sammy Lessley and wife, Carolyn; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
