January 13, 1998 — December 29, 2020

To Livestream Funeral Service Click Here Brendan Southy Grinalds, loving son and friend, passed away at his home in Ft. Worth at the age of 22. Brendan was born on January 13, 1998 in Ft. Worth, TX to Richard and Tia Grinalds. He was born with a rare genetic disorder and spent much of his childhood at the Scottish Rite Hospital, although he never let his disabilities slow him down. Throughout his youth Brendan participated in many sports, Boy Scouts and band where he played the baritone. In 2016 he graduated from C.F. Brewer High School in Ft. Worth. Brendan loved all things TCU but he was most passionate about Lone Star Brahmas hockey. He rarely missed a game. His prized possessions were his TCU hockey jersey and hockey stick signed by the entire Brahamas team. He even celebrated his 21st birthday by dropping the ceremonial puck. Brendan truly never met a stranger and was the kindest soul you would ever meet. He was a modern-day treasure hunter, always looking for the next find to buy, sell or trade, and he was good at it. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, one-liners and sarcasm coupled with an infectious smile. He made the most of his 22 years on this earth. Brendan was preceded in death by his papaw and mamaw, J.B. and Eula Hastings, step-grandfather, Bud Newton, and grandmother, Julie Grinalds. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tia and Les Davidson, his father and stepmother, Richard and Tricia Grinalds, his Grand Daddy, Leigh Grinalds, his grandmother, Claudia Newton, his girlfriend, Kayse Kelley, his best friend, Kara Smith, and many loving aunt, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at White’s Funeral Home in Springtown, Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, January 7, 2021, also at White’s funeral Home.
