Carol Jan Allen

Carol Jan Allen, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Service: 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Abundant Life Church in Graford.

Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells, Texas

Carol was born in Fort Sumner, NM January 20, 1940, to Squire and Minnie McWhorter Lunsford. She loved to write short stories and poetry and was a published author.

Pallbearers will include Matt Tomerlin, Andy Tomerlin, Seth Tomerlin, Josh Allen, Nathan Allen and Gabe Allen. 

Pastor Shane Long will officiate the service.

Survivors include sister, Kay Briggs and husband, Bob of Burleson; children, Kim Kirk and husband, Brant of Weatherford, Paul Allen and wife, Jill of Weatherford, Heidi Tomerlin of Weatherford, David Allen and wife, Sharon of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Matt Tomerlin and wife, Fiona , Andrew Tomerlin, Seth Tomerlin and wife, Emma, Katie Tomerlin, Dana Wilson, Sean Wilson and wife, Amy, Josh Allen, Miriam Jones and husband, Ethan, Nathan Allen and wife, Victoria, Gabe Allen and wife, Megan, and Kayla Allen; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Carol will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
