Charles Fred Doughty

Charles Fred Doughty, a lifelong resident of Springtown went to be with his Lord at the age of 76 on August 12, 2020. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Carl Doughty, mother Nettie Hyman Doughty, daughter Marcella, and nephew Carl "Tooter" Cash. He is survived by wife, Kristin Williamson Doughty, daughter Natalie Newby, son Brad Hurtt and wife Karen, brother Howard Doughty, sisters Wanda Cash, Mary Helen Counts, and Linda Fincher, 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles obtained his associates degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas in Arlington. He volunteered for the Navy during the Vietnam War serving on the USS Columbus. He will be greatly missed.
