Clifford Harrold Jewett, 92, passed away January 14, 2022 at his home in Springtown, TX. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, at White’s Springtown Chapel in Springtown. Visitation: 1 – 2 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, at White’s Springtown Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, in Goshen Cemetery. Clifford was born June 14, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas to Verdie Mack Jewett and Bessie Cleo Dragoo. He graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth in 1947, served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He also was a member of the Springtown Church of Christ and the Texas Woodcarvers Camping Club, traveling and learning about wood carving, wood working and sculpture. He married Elizabeth Winkler on December 21, 1987 and they loved to travel over the United States, in particular the West Coast and Canada. They would spend summers in Colorado and winters in the Texas Rio Grande area, making many new friends and memories to share together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verdie and Bessie Jewett. Clifford is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jewett; son, Dewey Jewett of Runaway Bay, daughter, Karen Milam of Nacoma, son, Jason Jewett of Springtown, daughter, Becky Gorman and husband Slim of Burleson, son, Kevin Greenwood and wife Patricia, of Springtown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be remembered by all the relatives and friends who knew him.
