Clifton Micheal “Mike” White, 78, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 in Weatherford.

Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Campground Cemetery, 14846 FM 986, Terrell, Texas 75160.

Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at Esperanza First, 301 Avenue G, Del Rio, Texas 78840

The graveside and memorial services will be presided over by Dr. Jim Wilson, pastor of Esperanza First Church.

Mike was born in Terrell, Texas on July 8, 1946, son of Roy White and Sadie Dennis. He graduated from Terrell High School where he was raised, and went on to graduate from the University of North Texas. Mike enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly and honorably served his country.

He met his wife, Jean, at the Easter Sunrise Service at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lubbock, Texas. They became engaged two weeks later, and were married on December 23, 1966. Mike and Jean were married for 49 years prior to her passing on January 29, 2016.

For the majority of the past 25 years, home was Del Rio, Texas. Mike was a devout Baptist, and an active member of Esperanza First Church in Del Rio. He had a deep, bass voice, loved to sing, and everyone could hear where he was.

Mike’s greatest love beyond his Lord was his family, and he loved his grandchildren deeply.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; and his daughter, Elizabeth Ann “Beth” White.

Mike is survived by his sons, Clinton Alexander White (Jennifer) of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Kevin Wayne White (Heidi) of Weatherford; grandchildren, William and Sarah White, of Weatherford; and his brother, James White (Joyce) of Denton, Texas
