Clyde Garrett

Clyde William Garrett, 89, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in Springtown, Texas, at his residence. He was born February 15, 1931 in Boyd, Texas, to Claude Edward and Frances Elizabeth Stevens Garrett. Visitation: Saturday, September 5, 2020, Noon-1:30 PM, White's Funeral Chapel, Springtown Graveside Service: Saturday, September 5, 2020, 2:00 PM, Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, Texas He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charlcierhe. Clyde was a former Springtown Mayor and Councilman. He retired from Lone Star Gas and proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1950-1953. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley Read Garrett; sons, Steven Garrett and wife Linda and LaMoine Garrett and wife Donna; brother, Gene Garrett and wife, Rubye; grandchildren, Stephanie Garrett, Amy and Cody Pickett, Parker and Megan Garrett, Gatlin Garrett and partner, Gabby Nombrano, Elizabeth and Wyatt Garrett; great-grandchildren Baylee, Eli, Brantley, and Emerlee Pickett, Gavin and Casen Garrett and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elizabeth Garrett Trust Fund at Plains Capital Bank, Weatherford, Texas.
