Coleta Scott, 102, of Weatherford, Texas went to be with her heavenly father, Thursday, February 13, 2020. Graveside service:  2:00 pm, Monday, February 17 at Long Creek Cemetery, 5410 Temple Hall Hwy, Granbury 76049. Visitation: 4 - 6  pm, Sunday, February 16 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. Coleta was born in Floyd County Texas on February 12, 1918 to Yancy and Beulah Moore. She attended school in West Texas before moving to Weatherford where she completed high school and met her future husband, L H Scott Jr. They were married on February 12, 1939. Coleta loved to cook for her family and guests, no one ever left the table hungry. In addition to helping around the farm she also worked as a seamstress. She was a long time member of the Spring Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; older brother, Morris; younger brother, Henry Carmon; and sister, Erma Dean. Coleta is survived by her beloved son, Gene Scott and wife, Evone; and granddaughter, Dakota. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. A special thanks to the folks at Santa Fe Heath And Rehab that loved and cared for Coleta these past few years.
