Craig Martin Krause, 71, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022, due to several health complications. Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Craig was born on November 19, 1950 to Martin and Dolores Krause in McAllen, Texas. During his teenage years he relocated to Irving, Texas, until he moved to Weatherford in 1993, where he remained until his final homegoing to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. Craig worked throughout his years as a machinist, doing janitorial work at health facilities, a school bus driver, and enjoyed numerous years working at a doughnut shop making delicious donut treats for the customers. His greatest accomplishment in life was having his daughter, Rebecca, who he loved, cherished, and admired. Craig was one who loved reading books and especially loved the sciences. He was a dreamer, as he had dreams of inventing something one day. The many books he had were marked with ideas about projects and numerous supplies ordered to get started on his dreams. Yet, life became more difficult for him and those dreams passed by. His family admired this about him and had hoped one day his dreams would come true. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Martin Krause; mother, Dolores Hanauer and husband, George Hanauer; brother, Rex Krause; uncles, Buddy Krause, and Carl Albers; and granddaughters, Hollie, Rylie and Marlie Vitalec. Craig is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Krause Campbell and husband, Chuck, and her mother, Denise Stout; brother, Lance Krause and wife, Debbie; niece, Amber Giere and husband, Josh; nephew, Chase Krause and wife, Allison, of Port Orchard, WA; aunts, Jeanne Krause, and Michi Albers; cousins, Marty Krause and, Neil Krause, of Federal Way, WA; along with great nieces and nephews.
