Dale William Flavin II (Hoffman)

Dale William Flavin II (Hoffman), 80, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Dale was born April 1, 1940 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Dale William Flavin I and Jane Stenger Flavin. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. He met and married the love of his life, Jan Gassaway in 1965. They moved to Texas in 1969. Dale worked for Charlie Hillard Ford for many years and finished his career working eleven years for Weatherford ISD in the maintenance department. He loved to hunt, fish and trap shoot. But his greatest treasures were his grandchildren. Dale had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. He never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes, and made everyone around him happy. Survivors: Wife, Jan Flavin; son, Victor Flavin and wife, Tina; daughter, Samantha Flavin; “son”, Keith Luntz and wife, Shelia; granddaughter, Emma Flavin; grandson, Dale William III; sisters, Carol Wiens and Nancy Baskerville and husband, Edgar, and Janie Arnold and husband, John; niece, Debbie Adelizzi; sister-in-law, Karen O’Connor and husband, Arthur; nieces, Meagan O’Connor and Jenny Porter; and a host of family and friends. Dale will be missed by so many and always remembered in our hearts.
