Danny Joe Brown was gifted to William "Troy" and Virginia Brown of Enid, Oklahoma on September 23, 1955 and passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
Visitation will be from 2-4PM this Sunday November 24, 2024 at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Danny spent his time growing up chasing quail with his dad and brothers or winning state championships with his friends on the baseball field.
Family, Friends, and “God's Country" hunting in the great outdoors was the theme of Danny's life. He continued his passion for baseball in college where he was a catcher for Central State of Oklahoma's baseball team.
Upon graduating college Danny started his impressive career as an Insurance Adjuster that spanned over 4 decades. In 1984 Danny became Daddy for the first time with the birth of his daughter, Elizabeth with his son, Matthew following a short 17 months later.
Danny spent the next 40 years of his life teaching his kids the same lessons he was taught growing up in rural Oklahoma. Family is everything, live every day with a smile, and take time to enjoy life and the outdoors. Throughout his life he coached hundreds of kids how to compete from the baseball diamond to the gridiron, he mentored dozens of coworkers throughout his career, and he left everyone he met with a smile on their face.
His blessings continued throughout his life, and he married his wife, Dee in 2008. The next year he got his final name changes to Grandpa, Grampy, or Grumpy (depending on which of his 6 grandchildren you ask)
Danny was the master of puns, quick on his feet, and loved by the people whose life he touched. Danny lived his life of happiness giving happiness to others whose memories and teachings will be cherished.
He was a great Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandpa, Friend, Mentor, Coach, and avid hunter.
An airing of grievances will occur November 31st at midnight for 1 minute and 26 seconds.
Danny was preceded in death by his Father, William "Troy" Brown; and Mother; Virginia Brown.
He is survived by Wife, Dee Brown; Brothers, Larry (Sandy) Brown, David (Brenda) Brown, Mike (Joni) Brown; Sisters, Kathy (Gaylon) Janes, Susie (Jeff) Peek; Daughter, Elizabeth (Brent) MacDonald; Son, Matthew (Heather) Brown; Step Daughter, Emily (Jason) Cook; Grandchildren, Ayden, Clayton, Harper, Dylan, Madisyn and Haylee; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.
