David Wayne Mask passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the young age of 59. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. A service of remembrance will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories. Interment: Oran Cemetery, Palo Pinto Co. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts to First Baptist Church of Weatherford Youth Camp. David graduated from Weatherford High School in 1980 and attended Hardin Simmons University the next year, where he met his loving wife, Ellen. He worked for the city of Weatherford for 30 years until his retirement in 2015. David was well respected and admired by his co-workers for his hard work, dedication and kindness. David loved fishing and camping with his family. These simple pleasures in life brought him great joy. His laid back and patient personality was contagious to his family, friends and co-workers. David was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wesley Fillmon; and brother-in-law, Matthew Fillmon. David is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Ellen Rae Fillmon Mask; sons, Aaron Mask and Tyler Mask; daughter-in-law, Amanda Mask; grandchild, Declan Mask; father, Frankie Mask; mother, Anna Mask; brothers, Alan Mask, and Michael Mask and wife, Julie; mother-in-law, Hazel Fillmon; sisters-in-law, Brenda Fillmon, Becky Fillmon Rogers and her husband, Dan; and many nieces and nephews.
