Diego Manuel Valtierra, 87, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Weatherford. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. The Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Saint Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd., Weatherford. Diego was born March 12, 1936 in Weatherford, son of Narciso and Bernabe (Espinoza) Valtierra. Diego proudly and bravely served his country in the 101st Airborne, United States Army. He was born and raised in Weatherford, and relocated to Fort Worth in 1969. In 1977 Diego received his barber license and worked for a time as a barber. He then worked for 32 years for Miller Brewing Company in Fort Worth. After his retirement, he and his family returned to Weatherford. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Rene’ Valtierra; brothers, Eufemio Valtierra and Juan Valtierra; and sisters, Tomasa Galvan, and Marcelina Rodriguez. Survivors include his loving wife, Angelita “Angela” (Rosas) Valtierra; son, Herman Luis Valtierra; granddaughter, Jadin Marie Valtierra; sisters, Julia Willingham, and Simona Kelican; brother, German Valtierra; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and friends.
