Donald Lee Day passed away November 18, 2020 in Ft. Worth, Texas after complications from COVID pneumonia. He was born July 27, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Edgar A. Day and Mildred Juliana Pollock Day. He graduated with a BBA in Accounting from UTA and was employed by Cook Children’s Medical Center for nineteen years as a Senior Computer Analyst. Donald was chairman of the Home Rule Charter of Forest Hill in 1975-1976, a member of the Forest Hill City Council for 8 years, 1977-1985, and in recent years has been a regular attendee at the City of Springtown Council meetings. Donald valued hard-work, he loved to tell his stories, and he never met a stranger. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sandra Elizabeth Pearson Day; a sister, Susan Day; two daughters, Carrie Sherier (Dennis) and Tammy Cruz (Michael); son Perry Day (Amie); seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Red Cross.
