Doris Jean Finley, 88, of Weatherford, Texas, went to Heaven on Friday, November 6, 2020. Jean was born on January 3, 1932, in Celina, Texas, to Cecil and Alla Bea Thomason, where she was raised with her three siblings. Jean married the love of her life, Bob Finley, also of Celina, on December 23, 1950. Bob’s career soon moved them to Weatherford, Texas where they settled to work and raise the three children God blessed them with. They celebrated 28 years together. Jean was a loving wife, mom, Ganny and a dedicated homemaker, whose heart belonged to her home and family. Her life is their legacy, her love was her gift and her memory will remain in their hearts forever. As many around town knew, she was also pretty handy at the bridge and poker tables. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Cecil and Alla Bea Thomason; brother, Don Thomason & wife Geneva; brother, Freddie Thomason; sister, Mary Rogers & husband Tommy and nephew, Chris Rogers. She is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Hobbs and husband, Gary; Jan Finley; and son, Bo Finley and wife, Angela; special blessing of six grandchildren, Will Hobbs, Zach Hobbs and wife, Audrey, Jenna Anderson and husband, Mark, Jessica Crockett and husband, Shawn; Jordan Murdock and husband, Stetson; and Jacob Finley; nine precious great-grandchildren, Henry, Cotton and Doc Hobbs; Sawyer and Hawkins Anderson; Hadley and Hayes Crockett; and Addie and Sutton Murdoch. She is also survived by a dear sister-in-law, Freda Thomason; nieces, Phyllis James and Amy Brumley; and nephews, Bubba Thomason, Kent Rogers and Cecil Thomason. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Old Celina Cemetery in Celina, Texas on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
