Dorothy Louise Brown, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in a local care facility. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Friday, Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford 76088. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. Dorothy was born April 1, 1929 in Freestone County, daughter of Hiram Glass Black, Jr. and Eunice McCeig Black. Dorothy met her husband, Harold Edwin Brown, Sr. in Fairfield, Texas, where they began their life together. They spent many years in Fort Worth, before moving to Weatherford. Dorothy was a longtime member of North Side Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edwin Brown, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn Sisk; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Brown; and her parents. Survivors: Sons, Harold “Buster” Brown, Jr. (Judy), of Garner, Jerry Brown, and Bobby Brown, both of Weatherford, and Rickey Brown (Dorinda), also of Garner; daughter, Vicky Zuckman (Larry), also of Weatherford; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Mozelle Cherry; brother, Glendale Black (Shelba); sister, Doris Ruth Casey (Roy); many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
