Eddie John Sears, 75, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Graveside Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 at Soda Springs Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford 76086. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the children’s playground fund at the Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church, 2731 S. FM 129, Santo, Texas 76472. Eddie was born in Whitt, Texas on October 1, 1945. Eddie and Kay were married June 4, 1965. Eddie (a.k.a. – Paw) was loved by many. First, he was a rancher, farmer and family man. Second, he was a man that loved his community and friends. There was nothing he would not have done to help. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ann Sears. Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kay Sears; children, Steven J. Sears and wife, Paula, and Cindy Southern, all of Millsap; grandchildren, Steven L. Sears and fiance’, Lauren Lutt, of Granbury, and Corbett Southern of Millsap; sisters, Linda Waddy and husband, Robert, of Mineral Wells, and Myrna Eddleman and husband, James, of Bakersfield, California; three nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew; and many extended family members and friends. He lived his life fully, touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
