Ann was born October 5, 1939 to Nannie Lou and Wiley Ward Hale in Decatur, Texas.
Ann met the love of her life, Kelvin Charles Miles, when she was just fifteen years old and he was eighteen. They fell in love and married 3 months later and have been inseparable since. They would have been married for 70 years on May 27, 2025.
Ann was very involved in church her whole life and taught Sunday school for many many years and sang in the church choir. She was a member of The Church at Azle and before that Fundamental Baptist Church in Springtown for many years. She loved Jesus and was the shining example of a good and faithful servant. She not only loved God, but she loved her family so so much and made sure we knew it.
She was the first one to sit with sick family members for nights on end and made sure they were cared for and loved. She was a mother figure and Meme to many people… she loved her family and was so proud of her babies. All of them. She loved them well and they loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nannie Lou Hale and Wiley Ward Hale; brothers, Jimmy Hale, and Charlie Hale; sisters, Francis Jackson, and Hazel Sherwood; and great-grandson, Lincoln Miles.
She is survived by her sweetheart, K.C. Miles, who she lovingly called “Red;” sons, Kelvin Miles and wife Charlotte, Tommy Miles and wife Tamara, Bobby Miles and wife Deborah; daughters, Debra Miles, Deionne Miles and fiancé Shawn Samples; grandchildren Charlie, Clay, Trace, Derek, Dewley, Dusty, Jessica, Jacob, Seth, Kali, Shane, KaCee, Luke, and Khloe; great-grandchildren, Railey, Landon, Brody, Tate, Tanner, Paisley, Presley, Brylee, Carsyn, Audrie, Collins, Elliott, Hadley, Preston, Dillon, Logan, Haylen, Praizlee, KC Barrett, Cooper, Maddox, Remi, Bellamy, Mori, Harrison, Nash, Norah, Hollin, Henry, and Sunee; great great-grandchildren Locklyn, Letti, and one on the way; sisters, Nancy Withers and husband Travis, Betty Bentley and husband Davis; brother, Dale Hale and wife Hattie; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and friends
Elizabeth Ann has gained her heavenly reward for a life well lived. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Mom would always tell us to make precious memories and we have so many of her. We will continue to make precious memories knowing she’s keeping watch over us all.
