Emma May David "Susie"

Emma May David, "Susie", 68, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, in Fort Worth, TX.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown.

Interment: Springtown Cemetery, following the service.

"Susie-Q" was born June 2, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to William "Bill" Estell Barbour and Nancy Mae (Strong) Barbour.  

She graduated from Wilson High School in 1974.  On February 16, 1974, she married Garry Neal David, the love of her whole life.  Together, they had three children.

Susie was a homemaker until 1991 when she attained her Certified Nursing Assistant license.  She spent many years working in long term care and 7 years with Wise Regional Health System in Decatur, TX.  She touched so many hearts and "talked off" a lot of ears along the way.  

Once she left healthcare, Susie enjoyed crocheting, painting and collecting ALL these things and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

To say being a Nana was the best job she could have was an understatement.  She loved "her babies" with all her heart.  To know her was to love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sweetheart, Garry and a little baby that did not make it this side of heaven.

"Susie" is survived by her son, Christopher David and wife, Erica; her daughter, Tracy Day and husband, Adrian; her daughter, Katheryn Joiner and husband Jeff;  her grandchildren, Juliet Menefee and husband, Aaron; Catherine David; Audrey, Grant, Hadley and Axel Day and Sydney and Penelope Joiner; her great-grandchildren, Alexander and Shana Menefee and Jasmine David.
