Faye M. Dickinson, 86, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Faye was born July 23, 1935 to Ewing and Ruby Gunkel in Eldorado, Oklahoma. She married Rex Dickinson from Quanah, Texas. Faye worked for GMAC in Oklahoma until her retirement. She then moved to Texas to be near family. Faye was fun loving, life of the party, and never met a stranger. She was a long-time member of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas. Faye was preceded in death by her mother; father; oldest brother, Ewing Gunkel, Jr.; her husbands, Rex Dickinson, and Joe Land; and her son, Russell “Rusty” Dickinson. She is survived by brothers, Jerry Gunkel and wife, Jo Karen, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Gunkel and wife, Elaine, of Camp Verde, Arizona; sister-in-law, Thelma Gunkel of Eldorado, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Tammy of Weatherford, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and life-long special friends, Bob and Patsy Evans of Allen, Texas. She is also survived by several members of the “fun class” of 1953 of Eldorado High School.
