Faye was born January 26, 1928 in Vernon, daughter of Joel Austin Stowe and Minnie Mae (Hyden) Stowe. Her family moved to Springtown during the war when her father went to work for Convair. She graduated from Springtown High School.
Faye met the love of her life, G.L. Lowe, and they were married on August 19, 1945. They would go on to spend many happy years together until his passing in 2008 on their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Faye was a woman of strong faith. She was a longtime member of the Aledo Church of Christ. Many of her days were spent taking care of kids, being at the baseball fields, or feeding anyone around who was hungry. She also had a love for sports, from watching her grandchildren's sporting events to watching the Dallas Mavericks. You could find Faye on the top bleacher of the football field watching Aledo High School football for over 50 years, or on the bench outside the equipment shed at the little league field between baseball games.
Of all the things she enjoyed in her life, her first love was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She will also be remembered for the delicious brownies she made, a recipe that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will continue to make and think of her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, G.L. Lowe; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, LaRene Walters, and Sandra Knight; son, Darryl Lowe; grandchildren, Jarod Knight, Ty Lowe, Kayla Bailey (Terry), Cody Lowe (Tiffany), Kyle Lowe, Shea Knight (Christina), Clayton Lowe, and Brandi Ayala (Alex); great-grandchildren, Jaryn, Cooper, Carter, Gracie, Erica, Jack, Madison, Trenton, Garrett, Libby, Kade, Easton, Savanna, Reece, Brynnlie, Colin, Cason, Zack, Bayli, Savannah, and Ruben; seven great great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
