Florence Rae Fox

March 6, 1945 — May 24, 2019

Florence Rae Fox, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019. Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2019 at North Main Church of God, Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Whites Funeral Home, Weatherford. Florence was born March 6, 1945 to Raymond F. and Mary Irene Glaze Mose in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. She was raised in the Springfield, Illinois area. Florence married Joe Pellinghelli in 1960, and gave birth to four sons, Joe, Jr., John, James and Jeffery. They divorced in 1966. While living in Illinois, Florence held many different jobs, waitress, solderer at Sangamo Eclectic, furniture salesperson, Wella Beauty Supply representative, licensed beautician, and did performances as a clown with her close friend, Hope. In 1978, Florence showed her adventurous side by taking her 2 small dogs and moving to St. Augustine, Florida, and lived on the beach while working in the Deli at Winn Dixie. In 1980, she packed her sparse belongings in her car, moved to Dallas, and worked as loan officer and teller at some local financial institutions. In June of 1983, she married Glenn Fox. In 1985, she and Glenn moved to NW Parker County where Florence was able to show her strong love for animals by owning goats, turkeys, chickens, guineas, a donkey, peacock, ducks, geese, dogs and cats. In addition, Florence joined the Adell-Whitt VFD, and fought many grass fires, as well as helping with the fundraisers. In the early 1990’s, she was the teacher for the N. Main Church of God Joy Bells, and also was a choir member. In October 2014, she began to have serious medical problems, primarily with COPD. Since then, Florence was hospitalized at least 6 times with COPD and pneumonia. She battled the diseases through the strength and grace she received from her beloved Savior Jesus Christ. Finally, with other medical problems developing, the Lord chose to give Florence rest and peace by taking her to be with him. The family is grateful to the medical teams at Harris Methodist ICU and Kindred Hospital for their diligent, loving, and compassionate care. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Joe, Jr. and Jeffrey. Survivors: Husband, Glenn Fox; sons, John (Mary) of Plano, and Jim (Carmen) of Rowlett; brother, Ron Mose (Pat) of Eugene, Oregon; grandchildren, John V, Jason, Zach, Caleb, Daniel, Patrick, Joel, Paige, Aaron and Alyssa; seven great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
