Interment: Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Frank Ellis Woody was born Sept. 10, 1948 to James “Scott” and Rena Mae Woody in Weatherford, TX. He graduated from Weatherford High School and proceeded to attend University of Texas at Arlington where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business. He began his career in the manufactured housing industry in 1972 and eventually opened his own business (General Manufactured Housing Corporation) in March 1982. Later the company changed names to Republic Manufactured Housing and is currently still operating and run by his wife, Marina Woody. Frank’s first marriage to Sue Copher (Foster) was on May 11, 1968 and they had three daughters (Lisa Woody, Jamie Schneider, Amy Davis). Frank’s second marriage to Marina Woody (Johnston) was on Aug. 20, 1987 and they had a daughter and son (Maegan Woody, Samuel “Logan” Woody). Frank has two grandchildren (Dylan Woody Vaughn, Taylor Joy Schneider) Frank was always a kid at heart and found great joy in living life to the fullest. He held a true love of the outdoors and shared that with his family. He taught his children and grandkids how to fish and made sure they all knew how to set up a tent and make camp. His sense of adventure had no bounds. He loved to travel and took his family with him on countless trips to see national parks, lakes, oceans and mountains across the U.S., Mexico and Canada. He traveled abroad with family and friends and enjoyed many cruises in his lifetime. Frank had a real knack for cooking, appreciated flavor and spice, and enjoyed all types of food. Frank had the best sense of humor and could make an entire room laugh out loud. He loved watching the great comedians of our time like Steve Martin and Chevy Chase. He passed along that fun loving, hilarious take on the world to all who knew him. However, what he loved more than anything was being a Dad to his five children and fulfilling his honored role as “Grandpa” to Dylan and Taylor. Frank was preceded in death by his father, James “Scott” Woody; and brother, Dwayne Woody. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Marina Woody; mother, Rena Mae Woody; children, Lisa Woody, Jamie Schneider, Amy Davis, Maegan Woody, and Samuel “Logan” Woody; grandchildren, Dylan Woody Vaughn and Taylor Schneider, Madi Davis, and Jordan Davis; siblings, Sally Woody and Kenneth Woody; and many treasured friends.
