Gary Ervin Schutz

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary E. Schutz announces his passing on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the age of 64, after suffering a heart attack. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hilltop Family Church, 1227 Old Cottondale Rd, Springtown. Interment:  Annis Chapel Cemetery, Wise County, Texas. Gary is a native Texan who was born on July 16, 1954 in San Antonio to Elbert and Earline Schutz. He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army. He later became a railroad engineer.  After retirement he became a volunteer and president of the board of directors at New Haven Ministries.  He is preceded in death by his father, Elbert Schutz; brother, James Schutz; and grandchildren, Shiloh and Jayden Bogan. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Schutz; his mother, Earline Schutz; his children, Wesley Seth Schutz, Suzanne T. Bogan; son in-law, Jonathon Ryan Bogan and Sharman; his grandchildren, Grace Bogan, Heather Schutz, Levi Schutz, Enrique Schutz, Sharman Schutz; and great-granddaughter, Paisley Schutz.
