Georgia Ann Bonin Bounds went to be with our Lord and Savior and receive the gift of eternal life on Monday, March 16, 2020. Burial: Private A Memorial Mass will be planned at a later date. Georgia was born on November 10, 1946 in Salina, Kansas to George M. Bonin and Johnnie Evelyn Brooks Bonin. Her father was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas and was then transferred to Fort Wolters near Mineral Wells, Texas. Once her father was discharged from the army, the family resided in Fort Worth, Texas where Georgia spent her childhood and teenage years. Georgia married her childhood sweetheart, Jimmy Bounds, on November 20, 1964 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Jimmy was stationed in Lincoln, Nebraska where they resided until 1966 when Jimmy was called to serve in Vietnam. Georgia moved to Santo, Texas where Jimmy grew up and was the place she called home until her passing. The people she met and the friends she made in her hometown of Santo meant the world to her. She was so proud of her community and was loved by so many. Georgia’s beautiful spirit, incredible passion, and strong Christian faith will be remembered the most. She was loving, kind, fun, energetic, and very generous. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, Jimmy Bounds in 2008. Georgia is survived by her brother, Mike Bonin (Elizabeth); nephew, Texas W. White, Sr. (Catherine); niece, Laurie Bonin Wade (Steve), niece, Michelle Bonin Weeks (Dirk), niece, DeLora Richards (Gary), niece, Andrea Bonin Rodriguez (Jesse), niece, Lizann Bonin; numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews; her women’s bowling team; and her forever dedicated caregiver and friend, Tonia Dement.
