Georgine Yvonne Dority

Georgine Dority, a loving wife and devoted mother, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Azle, Texas.  Services:  Funeral, 10 AM, Thursday, April 5, 2018                   Visitation: 6-8 PM, Wednesday. April 4, 2018                   Interment:  Springtown Cemetery She was born July 22, 1926, to George and Nora Hardin in Hockerville, Okla.  Georgine was born the oldest of six siblings, one brother and four sisters.  She married Tulsa J. Dority, Sr., in January 1946. Georgine and T.J. raised their children in Azle, Texas.  In 1968 they moved to Springtown, Texas, where T. J. and Georgine lived until their deaths.  She was loved by all who knew her, always with a mild temperment and a quick smile.  Her family was her universe and she will be greatly missed by all.  For over 20 years, she worked with the Springtown Senior Citizen Center working on fundraisers and the dances while enjoying the people.  She also served on the Parker County Board of Aging for several years. Georgine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister. Her survivors include her three sons, Tulsa J. Dority, Jr., Douglas A. Dority and James W. Dority; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
