Glenda L. Shepler, 61, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017.Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Friday at Brock United Methodist Church, 127 Lazy Bend Rd, Brock, TX 76087.Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Brock United Methodist Church Building Fund or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcomb Blvd., Houston, 77030.Glenda was born December 16, 1955 in Manhattan, Kansas to Buddy and Gloria Shepler. She graduated New Mexico State University with a Master's degree in agriculture and went on to have a long and successful career with the U.S.D.A.In her spare time, Glenda loved to travel and was able to complete her goal of visiting all 50 states. She was also a huge animal lover. In her younger years, she was a team roper and barrel racer. Her other hobbies included golf and quilting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Glenda was preceded in death by her mother.Survivors: father, Buddy Shepler; brother, Craig Shepler and wife, Tami; sister, Gina Mardis and husband, Chris; nieces, Shannon May, Brett Sipla and husband, Kevin, Courtney Mardis and fiancee, Bryan Kersey; great-nephew, Kade Sipla; and a host of loving friends.
