Glenn Murry Chester

Glenn Chester, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, May 25, 2020 in the comfort of his home in Weatherford, Texas. Graveside services to be held at the Sudan Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Glenn was born July 19, 1935 in Bailey County to O. D. and Lela Chester. He attended Sudan schools where he played football and met his wife, Jo Ann. Glenn was a member of First Baptist Church in Weatherford. Glenn enjoyed anything outdoors, including farming and ranching. He and his beloved wife enjoyed traveling across the world and making many friends along the way. Glenn was most proud of his family that he and Jo Ann created. His favorite memories were made spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glenn is preceded in death by his father and mother, O. D. and Lela Chester; and a precious grandson, Josh Chester. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Ann Chester; three sons and their spouses, Curtis and Shelley, Mitch and Polly, and John and Stephanie; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorma and Frank Prokop.
