Gloria Jean Cook

Gloria Jean Cook was born at home on July 17, 1941 in Paris, Texas to Charles & Lavara Abshire. She passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 peacefully at her home in North Richland Hills at the age of 82.

 Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, July 13, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home in Azle.

 Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

 She worked as an electrical engineer on F-16’s at Lockheed Martin since 1977 before enjoying retirement. In her spare time, she loved to travel, garden, and sew. Gloria was very generous with her many talents. She was proud to be an American, and more importantly, proud to be a Texan. In the days before her death, she said she lived a very eventful and full life.

 Gloria, known as “Mawmaw” was blessed with 4 children & their spouses, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, 1 great-great-granddaughter on the way, numerous nieces & nephews, along with many other close family members & friends.

 She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Richard Cook and Wayne Park, 3 brothers, 1 sister, her parents, and her great-grandson.
