Gloria “Marlene” Trewin, 86, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Marlene was born in Belton, Texas on July 13, 1935, daughter of Arlis and Viola Ellis. She was married to her husband, Ronald Trewin, for 54 years. Marlene enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends to play golf tournaments around Texas and Oklahoma. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, crossword puzzles, Nintendo video games, bird watching, cruises and the ocean. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her infant child, Janice Daniel; and granddaughter, Kodie Gouge. Survivors: Husband, Ronald Trewin; two sisters, Carole Collins and Elora McCullers; five children, Darrell and Wanette Daniel, Glenda Harry and Leon Plunk, Ronald Harry and Cheryl Tompkins-Maples, Lynn and Cresswell Hizer, Michelle and Kevin Bottom; grandchildren, Robert and Julia Daniel, Jonathan and Carisa Daniel, Dara and Josh Ferguson, Diana Harry, Joshua and Brittney Farmer, Kyle Hizer, Brittany Hizer and Amit Tripathi, Ben Hizer, Cole Hizer, Jared Bottom, Ryan Bottom and Trisha Bottom; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Marlene’s Hospice company, Interim Healthcare of Granbury, Texas, for the compassion and care they gave Marlene. The family would like to give special thanks to close friends who played a huge part of her care, April Garner and Tammy Black Grigsby.
