Gordon was born January 10, 1963 in Merkel, son of Albert Arnol and Geneva Jo Maberry. Upon graduating from Tarleton State University, he began a career training race horses. Gordon later began a rewarding career working for the City of Fort Worth in 1995 as a firefighter and Swift Water Rescue dive team member. Gordon enjoyed swimming at the YMCA, attending concerts, especially The Eagles and KISS, afternoon naps with his grandson Declan, and telling countless Dad jokes. He loved spending time with his family, no matter where. He especially enjoyed hanging out at the beach for vacations and scuba diving. Gordon made numerous spontaneous trips to College Station to visit his kiddos. He moved his children all over the United States, Abby to Savanah, Georgia, and Carson and Sylvia to New York City.

Gordon truly loved his family above all else, and he will be deeply missed.
