Gregory Kurilec

Gregory Kurilec, 88, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. 

Visitation:   3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Graveside Service:   11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024 at Community Greenwood Cemetery.

Gregory was born in Villiage Wecznow, Ukraine on November 10, 1935, and resided in Weatherford, Texas.  He was a student at the Pythian home where his parents, Dmytro and Katherine (Pasechnek) Kurilec were employed and also where he met his wife, June. Gregory and June have been married for 64 years.  He was employed at the Moncrief Ranch for 40 years. 

Gregory loved his family and spending time fishing, barbecuing, and doing puzzles and crosswords.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Keith Kurilec; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include daughter, Sandra Kurilec; daughter-in-law, Darla Kurilec; grandchildren, Amanda and husband, John Eatman, Amber and husband, Francisco (Frisco) Arellanes, Cody Vick, Jaremiah Gullick, Bailee and husband, John Kortes, and Baylor Kurilec; great-grands include Ethan, Blake, Jody, Luke, Aleena, and Alexia; great great-grands, Foster, and Finlee; sister, Martha Kurilec; and brother, Theodor Kurilec.
