Helen Laray Keys, 64, passed away at her home on February 9, 2022. Laray was born February 13, 1957 in San Diego, California, daughter of Bill Huddleston and Helen Hoover. Her father was in the Navy, so they moved around a lot when she was younger. Their family eventually moved to Saginaw in the early 70’s and settled down. During this time, she attended Boswell High School, where she would meet Dane. They were married the year she graduated, in 1975. Laray and Dane lived in North Richland Hills for a few years, and moved to Azle in 1985 where they raised their children. Laray worked for Winn-Dixie for many years before they sold out, and worked for Alcon Laboratories for ten years after that. Over the years, Laray has touched many lives, and she will be missed by all who knew her. Laray is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Hoover. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dane Keys; daughter, Michelle Cook and husband, David of Fort Worth; son, Clayton Keys of Azle; grandsons, Daxton and Liam Keys; father, Bill Huddleston; sister, Cheryl Busbee; brothers, Butch Hoover, James Hoover, and Alan Hoover; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
