Herbert G. “Cal” Aggas, Jr., 76, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 16, 2019. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator and joined his family who preceded him; brother, James Aggas; sister, Patricia Moore; and his parents. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Central Baptist Church, 4290 Old Agnes Road, Weatherford, 76088. Interment: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, 75211. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, 76086. Cal was born in Michigan on June 22, 1943 to Herbert George Aggas, Sr. and Rosemary Aggas. He moved with his family to California at the age of 12 and joined the United States Air Force in 1961. His military service took him to Oklahoma where he met his best friend, Carol Jean Smith, who became his wife on July 3, 1963. They spent their 56 years together building a loving home and raising their family. Their first twenty-one years were spent in California, followed by a move to Arlington, Texas in February of 1984, and finally a move to rural Weatherford in 1985, where they have lived and watched their family and family’s families continue to grow. Cal retired in 2001 from 35 years of civil service with the United States Department of Defense Logistics. Cal is survived by his wife, Carol; his three children, Herbert George Aggas, III and wife, Michelle, of Weatherford, Cynthia Kay Malcolm and husband, Chris, of Fort Worth, and James Dale Aggas of Wendell, North Carolina; his nine grandchildren, Kyle Malcolm, Krystal Travis, Hope Aggas, James Dalton Aggas, Karlie Capers, Selina Kirk, Kamie Aggas, Kory Malcolm, Kelsie Malcolm; his eleven great-grandchildren plus one on the way, Christian, Jase, Chloie, Jaxson, Gabriel, Cash, Adeleine, Rowan, Eli, Benson and Carter.
