Herman Buford Hobbs

Herman Buford Hobbs, 89, beloved brother and friend, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at his home. Funeral Service:  10 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 in White’s Springtown Chapel, 401 North Main Street, Springtown, 76082. Interment:  Jaybird Cemetery, Reno. Visitation:  6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Funeral Home, Springtown. Buford was born March 11, 1929 in Poolville, son of Franklin Lee and Clara Thornton Hobbs.  He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years of service.  Buford also worked at TCJC for 10 years after his military career was over. Buford is preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Frank Leroy Hobbs; beloved wife, Dorothy Hobbs; sister, Tressie Deatherage; brothers, George Hobbs, Billy Roy Hobbs and Acie Hobbs. Survivors:  Brothers, Randall Hobbs, Sherman Hobbs, and Lonnie Hobbs; sisters, Marie Quinn, Nellie McMorris, and Christene Jobe; dear friends and neighbors, Donna Frazier and husband, Steve; stepchildren, Marsha and Rodney; and many loving family members and friends.
