Homer Karr McBride, 90, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Fredericksburg with his loving family by his side.
Visitation: 1 to 2 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Lighthouse Cowboy Church.
Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2024 at Lighthouse Cowboy Church, 6409 FM 730 S Azle, TX 76020.
Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery.
Homer was born March 26, 1934 to Charles Homer McBride and Eleanor Beal (Karr) McBride in Childress, Texas. He honorably served in the National Guard. Homer attended services at Lighthouse Cowboy Church and served as a Deacon. Homer loved to travel and camp with his family. He traveled to almost 50 states. Homer was a water skier and taught his sons and grandchildren how to water ski. He also loved to help other people whenever they needed something repaired. Homer was generous with his time and his love.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and eldest son, Jerry McBride
Survivors include loving wife of 72 years, Joan McBride; sons, Jimmy McBride and Dan McBride; granddaughters, Kimberly Eastburn, Jamie Weinberg, Shammra McBride -Waller; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
