James Lamont

April 18, 1930 — December 27, 2018

We are celebrating the life of James Norman Lamont, born in Pendleton, Oregon on April 18, 1930 and passed to heaven on December 27, 2018. He was raised in Pendleton and Stanford, Oregon. Jim joined the Navy at 20 years old and served in the Korean War. Later He was married to Georgia Faye Moore on November 10, 1953 for 62 years. He is survived by his wife Georgia and their five children: Debra Renea Lamont Walker, Annette Lynn Lamont Thiesen, Donald Andrew Lamont, Julie Ann Lamont, James Robert Lamont, as well as one sister Marion Ford, Pendleton, OREGON. Jim is leaving behind 19 grandchildren And 35 great grandchildren. Jim and Georgia are founders of New Life Children’s Home in Jalaca, Honduras with more than 50 Honduran children that call him Abuelo (Grandpa). Jim will be sorely missed by many family and friends who loved and appreciated him as father, grandfather, pastor, mentor, friend and missionary.
