James "Mike" Michael Hollstein

James Michael “Mike” Hollstein, 42, passed away July 30, 2018 in Fort Worth. A private celebration of life is being held by the family. Mike was born July 20, 1976 in Irving to Jim and Judy Hollstein. He grew up in Southlake where he made many friends attending Southlake Carroll Schools, playing little league baseball and riding bikes and go carts before completing high school in Ponder. He spent many years working in various disciplines within the construction industry and heavy equipment operations. Mike was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and loved watching games with friends and family. He enjoyed playing darts, collecting and racing remote controlled cars, casinos and traveling. Mike had a big heart. He was funny, thoughtful and a great friend to many. He will be deeply missed. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Lynn Grant Hollstein. Survivors: father, Jim Hollstein; sister, Carrie Lytle and her husband, Jason; and nephew, Jack Lytle.The family wants to express their sincere thanks to the team at Kindred Hospital Southwest for their care and support.
